Homebush Bay WestAn 18 hectare site owned by NSW Maritime at Homebush Bay West has been identified as a potential working harbour site. Click here to see the Homebush Bay West Wentworth Point Master Plan. The site, as illustrated below, would include a recreational boating precinct for sailing and rowing clubs, and include boat storage, a public boat ramp and vessel repair facilities as well as support activities such as a café, restaurant and chandlery, and a significant foreshore park. This recreational boating precinct would serve the 20,600 trailer boats registered in Western Sydney, 40% of the Sydney metropolitan total. Development of the site will not occur until the radio transmission towers at Wentworth Point are relocated. Under a second stage of the Master Plan,
the western portion of the site would be used for boat building
and repair, as well as wharf construction and maintenance activities. Continued
