Licensed Hire and Drive Operators in NSW

A list of businesses which are licensed by NSW Maritime to conduct hire boat operations on NSW waters appears below as a PDF file.

To hire out to the public a powered boat which is less than 6m in length, or any canoe, kayak or 'off the beach' sailing boat in NSW, the business must hold a current 'hire and drive' licence issued by NSW Maritime or have the boats surveyed by the NSW Maritime Vessel Surveyors.

If it is licensed with the NSW Maritime you can have confidence that the business is subject to a number of strict conditions regarding the standard of the boats which are for hire and other general safety matters.

If you come across a business which is not on this list, please contact the NSW Maritime Infoline on 13 12 56 and the Authority will investigate the matter.

The list provides the name of the business, its address and phone number.
